Happy Comly
Comly Sport Horses, located in Wills Point, Texas, is a premier hunter/jumper training and sales program led by Happy Comly, an accomplished equestrian professional recognized for her success in Grand Prix show jumping, young horse development, and rider training.
Based in Comly Sport Horses, the program is known for producing competitive horses and riders with an emphasis on horsemanship, soundness, and long-term success in the sport.

Happy Comly began riding at the age of three and entered the A-show circuit by six years old, quickly establishing herself as a successful junior competitor in both hunters and jumpers. She qualified for the North American Young Riders Championships in show jumping in 2004 and 2005 and represented Zone VII in 2005.

Owner and Trainer of Comly Sport Horses
After earning degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from Trinity University, she moved to Germany to complete advanced professional equestrian training focused on classical riding and young sport horse development.
Happy later served as Assistant Trainer and then Head Jumping Trainer at North Texas Equestrian Center under international Grand Prix rider Christian Heineking. During her professional career, she earned a national ranking of third in the country in the USHJA Young Professional standings and has consistently competed successfully in Grand Prix, Welcome Stake, Hunter Derby, and FEI competition. Her notable victories include winning the $25,000 Sidelines Grand Prix aboard Clock-Wise CSH and multiple top placings in national jumper competition.
Among the standout horses in the Comly Sport Horses program is Derby CSH, one of Happy’s top Grand Prix mounts and a consistent performer in major jumper classes. The pair earned repeat victories in the $25,000 Domino’s Grand Prix at the Gulf Coast Winter Classic and captured additional wins in the $7,500 Schneiders Saddlery Welcome Stakes. Derby CSH has become known for his speed, consistency, and competitiveness in the 1.35m–1.40m divisions, helping establish Comly Sport Horses as a regular presence in the winner’s circle at premier competitions across the South and Midwest.
Cash CSH has also emerged as a promising and talented member of the Comly Sport Horses program, demonstrating scope, rideability, and strong performances in jumper competition while continuing to develop under Happy’s program. Together, Happy and her horses reflect the program’s commitment to producing athletic, carefully developed sport horses capable of succeeding at the highest levels of competition.
Today, Happy Comly continues to train and coach riders ranging from developing juniors and amateurs to upper-level competitors while actively competing in national hunter/jumper events. Her program is widely respected for its individualized training philosophy, professionalism, and dedication to building confident partnerships between horse and rider.
